Established for thirty-four years our client, Russell Mineral Equipment (RME), is the acknowledged world leader in grinding Mill Relining Systems. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), RME’s core competencies include quality design and manufacture as well as global distribution, after-sales service and mill relining and consulting services. Via a network of wholly-owned international subsidiaries, the organisation supports customers in more than 50 countries.

 

Due to an internal promotion, the opportunity now exists for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a team of motivated and high-performing professionals. Reporting to the Regional General Manager - APAC, you will be closely supported in your day to day engagement by the General Manager - Strategic Market Development and a Key Account Manager (KAM) at Head Office (in Toowoomba, Queensland), taking responsibility for developing the Capital Sales Markets across the Asia Pacific region.

 

This will require you to work collaboratively with the General Manager - Strategic Market Development and KAM in: building and refining effective networks and relationships with all key stakeholders across the mining industry; defining, developing and executing leads and opportunities in the greenfield and brownfield markets for both capital projects and the service market; proactively initiating engagement with customers, their projects and specific stakeholders; cultivating relationships with customers that support the development of deep customer insights at a regional and organisational level; and related monitoring, reporting, evaluation and improvement.

 

Key to the above will be your ability to develop and maintain close working relationships, both internally and externally, including with Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management companies (EPCMs), mining companies, mill and liner manufacturers in particular.

 

Your experience in a similar role may not have been gained within a related industry sector, however, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate high level corporate sales and business development skills (ideally within an industrial environment), coupled with the capacity to quickly and effectively acquire technical and commercial knowledge. Willingness and ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally is also required.

 

Tertiary qualifications are not essential although they are highly regarded, as is experience in an OEM or mining environment. Proficient English language skills are essential, and candidates with a relevant second/multiple language/s are specifically encouraged to apply.
