Rewarding role managing Commercial Projects

Attractive Remuneration & Conditions

Global Industry Leader & Lifestyle Location

Would you enjoy the opportunity to play an integral role in the delivery of commercial projects of a suite of technologies that are accepted as the best in the world and are proven to ensure total return on the buyer’s investment? How about doing so within a highly supportive environment in which quality, innovation and customer service excellence are rewarded? Add to that the South East Queensland lifestyle and you can see why this opportunity is really quite unique.

Established for thirty-seven years our client, Russell Mineral Equipment (RME), is the acknowledged world leader in grinding Mill Relining Systems. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), RME’s core competencies include quality design and manufacture as well as global distribution, after-sales service and mill relining and consulting services. Via a network of wholly-owned international subsidiaries, the organisation supports customers in more than 65 countries.

Due to an internal transfer, an opportunity now exists for an experienced sales or project professional to join RME’s motivated and high performing Sales Team. Reporting to the Global Contracts & Projects Manager, in this role you will provide support to Business Development Managers (BDM) throughout capital sales projects. You will also engage with Customers and support the BDMs with Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and formal tenders.

In collaboration with a BDM, you will be responsible for scoping technical solutions and developing the Commercial Offers for RME Mill Relining Systems. This is completed through close liaison with RME’s Engineering and Contracts departments and the use of the specialised systems. You will also be required to review draft purchase orders and/or contracts and negotiate commercial clarifications with the Customer in order to reach a final agreed scope of supply. After the order is accepted and the equipment is coming through manufacturing, the Key Account Manager will further manage the project, liaising with the Customer and working together with the various RME Departments until delivery to the Customer.

Key to the above will be your ability to develop and maintain close working relationships, both internally and externally, including with Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management companies (EPCMs), mining companies, and mill and liner manufacturers in particular.

Your experience in a similar role may not have been gained within a related industry sector, however, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate high level corporate relationship management skills, coupled with the capacity to quickly and effectively acquire technical and commercial knowledge. Willingness and ability to undertake irregular domestical and international travel is also required.

Tertiary qualifications are not essential although they are highly regarded, as is experience in a mining or export related field. Highly proficient English language skills are essential, and candidates with a second/multiple language/s are specifically encouraged to apply.

Applicants must currently reside, and be permitted to work permanently, in Australia and while all relevant applications are appreciated, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Our client is an equal opportunity employer and relocation assistance within Australia will be considered for the successful candidate.
