You will be working in partnership with land managers, investors and other stakeholders to strategically plan and identify opportunities that result in long term improvements in land and water outcomes. To do so, you will need to understand as much about people, communication and partnerships, as you do about project management.

Reporting to the NRM Implementation Manager, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, in this role you will provide leadership, as well as planning and operational delivery oversight to the organisation’s Landholders Driving Change project. This will involve supporting the planning, management and delivery of projects that aim to increase the level and effectiveness of community and other stakeholder involvement in regional natural resource management processes of the Bowen, Broken and Bogie (BBB) Sub-catchments.

You will be accountable for the: effective leadership, management and development of staff; planning, managing and reporting on the operational delivery of projects that enable the NRM community to achieve sustainable land and water outcomes; co-ordinating the development, implementation and review of project specific Monitoring, Evaluation, Review and Improvement (MERI) plans in collaboration with the MERI Co-ordinator; and support of associated stakeholder and advisory panels.

It is anticipated that you will: be accomplished in the fields of stakeholder engagement/partnership management and project/program management; have a sound knowledge of natural resource management and understanding of contemporary related issues; be able to demonstrate your people management and team leadership skills; and hold qualifications in a related field.
