Our Mackay-based client (Reef Catchments) is one of 56 Australian Natural Resource Management (NRM) bodies, and operates in the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac Region. Reef Catchments is a purpose driven organisation working with the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac community to make a difference through sustainably managing the region's land and water.

 

In this role you will report to the Program Manager and provide leadership, strategic vision and technical and planning oversight to the delivery of Reef Catchment’s Sustainable Agriculture Program.

 

Core to this will be: project planning and strategy; people management and development; project management and delivery, monitoring and reporting; developing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; development of funding opportunities; and building and sharing knowledge in support of the above.

 

Relevant experience, qualifications in a related discipline and an understanding of contemporary issues related to land management and sustainable agriculture are essential. A background in either grazing or sugarcane will be an advantage.

This role can be based in Mackay or Proserpine by mutual agreement.
