Established for thirty-six years and admitted into the Australian Export Awards Hall of Fame in 2009 our Toowoomba-based client, Russell Mineral Equipment (RME), is the acknowledged world leader in grinding Mill Relining Systems. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), RME’s core competencies include quality design and manufacture as well as global distribution, after-sales service and mill relining and consulting services. Via a network of wholly-owned international subsidiaries, the organisation supports customers in more than 65 countries.

 

Integral to the organisation's core business, the opportunity now exists for an experienced Field Services Engineer to work closely with RME’s Regional Service Centres to support OEM in-service machines and plant across the globe.

 

Reporting to the Asset Support Engineering Manager, in this role you will work globally across the organisation, requiring engagement with design teams, project managers, service delivery specialists, technical trainers and sales personnel to ensure the successful roll-out of RME’s machines and technologies. This will involve:

 

•     Providing onsite technical support to customers;

•     Assessing and reporting on product performance, faults and the like;

•     Implementing solutions to encountered problems where possible, engaging team members from Asset       
       Support Engineering as required;

•     Preparing estimate builds of materials and labour costs involved in remedial works for upgrades as needed; &

•     Assisting with control systems/factory acceptance testing.

 

A degree qualification in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, experience in a multi-disciplinary team (ideally within the mining or heavy equipment industries) and experience in the use of diagnostic tools (software) is required. Experience conducting on-site testing and commissioning of equipment or on-site remedial work, experience with instrumentation and control, strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic principles and design would be a distinct advantage.

 

Applicants must currently reside, and be permitted to work permanently, in Australia and a current unrestricted passport (or eligibility to obtain and travel without restrictions) is required; as is the willingness to work as required at times and locations dictated by Customer needs. This will include both domestic and international travel, including to remote regions and mine sites.
